Where a Venturer foresees that, through no fault or choice of their own, it will be impossible to complete the Summit requirements before age 21, they may apply to the local council for a limited time extension.
Notes and warnings
Deadline. The 21st birthday, for the requirements. An extension is available only where finishing before it is impossible through no fault or choice of the Venturer's own, is granted only when necessary, and covers work on the Summit rank alone. The tests and procedure are the Eagle Scout ones at 9.0.4.0 and 9.0.4.1, reading age 21 wherever they say age 18.
