8.0.3.1. Beyond 24 months, a Belated Rank Application

This may not apply to you. You have not answered "Which rank or award is being bestowed?" yet. Answer it and this step will either settle or drop off.

To hold a board beyond 24 months after the 18th birthday, a Belated Rank Application must be submitted. The candidate, a parent or guardian, the unit leader or a unit committee member may submit it.

Note. The form itself points back at the Guide: it asks you to read topic 8.0.3.1, item 3, before completing it, because that is where the required documentation and the process are set out.
