Three careers identified, one of them chosen, eight separate things researched about that one, and then a discussion with your counselor about whether it interests you. Longer than the careers requirement on most badges and considerably more concrete, because this is a licensed profession with a real degree, a real examination and a real board behind it.

Note. EIGHT THINGS ARE ASKED ABOUT ONE CAREER, AND CERTIFICATION IS THE ONE THAT MAKES THIS BADGE DIFFERENT. Landscape architecture is a licensed profession in most of the United States, so unlike the careers requirement on many badges this one has real documents behind it: an accredited degree, a period of supervised experience, and an examination. Your own state licensing board publishes all three and answers most of this requirement in an afternoon.
